Application Guidelines
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---
Introduction
For starters, please place your application in the correct area, if you don't it will be an automatic decline. Also, if you want to apply for two or more spots, place your app in one of the spots and make a note of the other one or two things you'd like to do
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---
Do's & Don't's
No doubt that everyone is not perfect for the important job, but that's what makes us perfect!

Do's
- Proper etiquette
- Accepting criticism
- Know what is critique and what's not
- Asking for explanations is fine!
- It is okay for people to not like your application; accept!
- Good grammar gives good impressions (alliteration!)

Don't's
- Back-talk
- Compare applications (with few exceptions)
- Attack other applications
- Create bad reputation
- Degrade others because they don't accept you/like you (this can be connected with the preceding Don't)
- Do not spam-post on the forums just to post an application.
- Do not steal applications

There are a lot more, but you should get the gist of it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---
Question Breakdown
This question breakdown is simply what it is, a breakdown of each question in the format and what you should put in your answers; this will (hopefully) aid you in your current or future applications.

1. Real Name
This is pretty self-explanatory. State your real name, and putting in your first name is and should be only mandatory. Your last name, middle name and all is not necessary at all; privacy and safety is always first.

2. Age
Some say age is just a number, although others will disagree, but it all matters on your level of maturity and who you are. Feel free to explain more about yourself such as your personalities and qualities. Put in your age if you feel that it is okay for everyone to know.

3. Character Name
Basically all you need to do is state your in-game name - that shouldn't be hard!

4. Timezone
Knowing your timezone should be common knowledge, and letting us know is important as well. This helps the staff know what times you should be/are available and when you will be offline. Again, feel free to expand on this such as your home/location/etc.

5. Approximately how long has it been since you joined the PokeStory community?
The longer you play, the more experience you should have regarding the game's content and information such as rates, NPC's, glitches and features. Please note that the longer you have played does not guarantee that you will be in, it just gives you a better chance assuming you have a lot of knowledge about the community and content.

Some people say veterans should be treated equally as regular players, and they are right. Just because one knows more on the game than another doesn't mean the knowledgeable should be treated different and greater. Everyone deserves a chance or two, and your skill and abilities shouldn't be judged so hugely on your time of arrival to this server.

6. What is your MSN or email address in case I need to contact you?
This is, again, another self-explanatory question, but like your age, keeping your e-mail to yourself is allowed and (personally) I recommend it; keeping personal information is important for your own privacy. Feel free to add in any other means of communication and contact such as: Skype™ or AIM™.

7. Why do you feel that you would be the best choice for us?
This is one of the biggest questions in the application format. Tell us about yourself, and what kind of a person you are. Everyone deals things differently in their own way and that's what makes us unique. Are you a logical person? Are you a simple person? Differentiate yourself from all of the other candidates and staff members.

What do you think a staff member's duty is? Shed some light onto who you are and what traits do you have. Honesty, Commitment, Loyalty, Obedient, Imaginative and much more. Say what you have to say, a long application does not mean a terrible one. What's important is that you get your point(s) across while providing us the answers. We don't know who you are or what type of person you are, so say whatever you have in mind.

8. What qualifications/experience do you feel makes you the best choice for the spot?
Much like the previous question, tell us why you should be a staff member. What qualities do you have? Having a lot of experience doesn't mean you'll be in 100%, it just means you have more experience as a game master and you've dealt with common problems before. Everyone starts somewhere, and you shouldn't be ashamed of having no experience.

9. Are you willing to play PokeStory for at least 6 non-A.F.K. hours per week?
Many of us have other things to do in our lives such as our studies and hanging out with family and friends. Don't forget that it's okay to answer no, again, no one is perfect.

10. Are you willing to do events on a daily and sometimes hourly basis depending on server needs?
A self-explanatory question yet again. Will you be able to handle events? Don't be afraid to tell us how you deal with people (during events) and your events. I host things differently, I have my own rules and limitations.

11. Have you read the rules and will you follow the rules at all times?
This is another important question that should be answered. As a staff member, you have an important title and job - you are hired to serve as a helping hand to the players. Abuse and over-exploitation of your powers will not be tolerated.

12. Do you agree that you won't give any items/mesos to anyone while you are a GM?
This should be a no-brainer. Again, abuse and over-exploitation of your powers will not be tolerated. As a staff member, you should be treating everyone equally and unbiased at all times - especially when it comes to dealing with problems.

13. How would you catch hackers?
I've said this many times and I can't stress it enough, everyone is different in their own way whether it is personality or the way they deal with problems and situations. Tell us what is your method to catching the criminals.

14. What would you do if there was a fight going on between two staff members?
This question can be expanded more. How are you a benefit to the team? Will you strive to carry and keep the team? Tell us what you will do.

15. How would you handle two players fighting?
This question can be answered much like the previous two questions. Don't forget that all players should be treated equally, and you being unbiased at all times towards players. Whether it is between a donor and a player, or a staff member and a player, keep it equal.

16. Additional information about you
And last but not least.. If you haven't told us anything we don't know or figured out, then tell us!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---
Design and Creativity
Now some people make their applications look unique and different from others. Don't forget that a good image(application design in this case) will appeal others and make them read it. Here is some things you should consider in an application:
BOLD HEADINGS - This helps seperate the question from your answer. This gives good organization.
COLOURED TEXT - Having coloured text isn't mandatory, but helps for creativity and design points! Don't put text that would hurt people's eyes like bright yellow and light grey..
Bold/Italics/Underline - These are the typical formatting text options that is available to you. Don't be afraid to use them to point out important notes and answers!
Images - Images are rather unnecessary, but some people would enter an application as a whole image. This gives them a wide area to work with involving text colours, background designs and extra images. Be creative!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---
Notes
Be yourself, that's what makes you, you. So if your application is denied, figure out what you have done wrong and how you will make it right. Wait a few days or weeks and apply again. Don't give up if it's your goal.

Don't forget the golden rule: Treat others the way you'd like to be treated. Don't steal applications from others, don't attack others and their applications.
